Red Skies Mourning

Story

New Rock solo project Red Skies Mourning explores dark emotions while embracing melodic hooks on new single "Signs From You". RSM is the musical vehicle of Chris Aleshire. 'Signs From You' is the debut single from Red Skies Mourning, a Maryland-based solo outfit mashing up the classic era of Rock and Roll with modern, contemporary stylings. The track premieres November 20th 2020. Infusing elements of both rough and smooth, the track illuminates a compelling story about an unsuccessful rescue search, with the lyrics unpacking the heart-wrenching guilt of the constant "what ifs." For Red Skies Mourning, he states "this extends to the friends that I've personally lost... we think in the moment sometimes about ourselves and never see the signs from friends in need." While seemingly dark in nature, the track offers a glimmer of hope, and a strong message that we should take the initiative to reach out to those we care for and love. Red Skies Mourning effortlessly pours out big, boundless Post-Grunge, breathing a grittily optimistic life into expansive Classic Rock riffs, morphed by subtly delayed vocals and hazy harmonies into a bright syrupy sound, shadowed with themes from the darker realities of living, while still landing oh so sweetly nonetheless.
