Chad Nickell and the Loose Change

Story

Since 2015, Nashville Recording artists, Chad Nickell & the Loose Change have been performing across the two Virginia's, captivating listeners with their live performances of original music. Their extensive catalog meshes everything from folk, honky-tonk, blues, and funk to heartfelt Americana anthems and pop-rock sing-a-longs, many of which have had audience members feeling like they've "heard that one before" and joining in before the song even ends. Hailing from the mountains of Alleghany County, VA, singer/songwriter, Chad Nickell has been telling stories of love, folklore, and existentialism for the better part of two decades. After crossing paths with lead guitarist and vocalist, Daniel Jackson in 2015, the Loose Change was born and shortly thereafter came drummer Brandon "BT" Ross and bassist Jeremy White. Chad Nickell & The Loose Change has shared the stage with many regional & national acts along the way, including The Larry Keel Experience, The Southern Belles, Matt Mullins & The Bringdowns, Holy Roller, Gold Top County Ramblers, Bobby Thompson & Revelator Hill, as well as having the honor to open for multi-platinum recording artist, Uncle Kracker.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is our lives. It gives a feeling like nothing else can. Happy, sad, somber, joyful, or even euphoric. It all depends on mood and the type of songs you choose.

What is your music dream?

Our dream is to make our audience feel what what we feel. When you hear one of our songs, we want the passion to bleed through and give them the charge of emotion that we are feeling as we play it.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Happiness. Everyone deserves to be happy and treated fairly.
