What is music to you? What does it give you?

A release. It's where I put the emotions, sounds, and expressions in my head that are too confrontational for a conversation. That said, I love all kinds of music, and make all kinds. Metal, Industrial, Jazz, Trip Hop, Soundtrack, Pop, Hip Hop...

What is your music dream?

To be able to make a steady, modest, and inspiring living doing what I do with my sound.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Less hate. More love. Less Social Media. More face to face interaction.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

That's impossible to narrow to one. Trent Reznor changed my life and made me want to make music.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Elated. Nothing like it. Best feeling in the world.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

It could ALWAYS be improved. I'm glad to see the record label model disappearing, but we need more communities like drooble where musicians connect and support each other. I like that you are rewarded here for supporting fellow artists. That's what attracted me to this site. I'm hoping that this will provide the missing piece I've been looking for since the digital revolution began.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

That music seems a background task for most people now. The time and energy it takes to digest a piece of music, or a full album is seldom given, and people seem distracted by other things which have far less staying power than the power of music.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Pre-Covid I always did when I could. Things are more online now, so I'm more apt to say I support my scene world-wide!

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

I don't know if I'm qualified to answer that. I'm not concerned with a larger audience. I'm concerned with a dedicated and engaged audience.

Manuel Gagneux (Zeal and Ardor, Birdmask) is my new favorite find. Also, Street Sects (here in Austin with me) are incredible. I've been getting into the new Daughters record too, and checking out some of their back catalog.
