Producer and Engineer

Brian Leshon has over thirty years experience in multi-media production. Leshon has worked as the Chief Recording Engineer at the historic Cherokee Studios and Chateau Recorders and was on the staff of A&M Records studios. Brian also worked as an independent Producer/Engineer in many of the top recording studios in Los Angeles. Over the course of his career, Leshon worked with artists such as Kansas, Devo, Supertramp, Missing Persons, Jeff Beck, Rod Stewart, Stanley Clarke, Jean Luc Ponty, Barbara Streisand and many more. At Chateau Recorders Brian worked with legendary producer/engineer Ken Scott from whom he learned the classic recording style used on the Beatles and Bowie albums. "One of the most important things to do if you want to be a truly great producer/engineer is to spend a few years sitting beside someone who really knows how to hear," Leshon continued, "I was fortunate to work beside an engineer whose first album was The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour, and the first album he produced was David Bowie's Hunky Dory." Brian worked with several other legendary producers including Tom Dowd, Roy Thomas Baker and others. Brian's work has a live feel. It sounds like you're sitting in the room with the musicians.
