What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is a creative outlet that I use to deal with life and everything I've been through in a constructive way.

What is your music dream?

To reach and positively impact as many people as I possibly can. If my message or song can brighten someone's day, that's all I care about.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I'd start with getting rid of all the ignorance surrounding our differences; we may all look and be different, but we're all also very similar... we all bleed the same.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Smile - 2Pac feat. Scarface

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

2Pac, Nas, Eminem, Logic, Joyner Lucas, KnowMads, NF, Alice in Chains, Dr. Dre, The Game, Gary Allan, Jeezy, Johnny Cash, Lil Rob, Nipsey Hussle, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime, Seether, Westside Connection, G-Unit, Young Buck, 50 Cent...

What inspires you to make music?

My life experiences and all of the trauma I've been through; the stuff that keeps me awake at night....

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Always chase your passions with everything you have. Never let anyone tell you that you can't. Don't wait to actually pursue your passions like I have. Always keep self-awareness at the top of your list, and always be your own biggest advocate; nobody else is going to do it for you.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

I have yet to do so...

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

A lot hinges on platforms like this and getting your music out and heard. Marketing plays a huge part, as well, but for those of us who aren't spending on marketing, we're hoping our skill speaks for itself. As far as improvements go, there should be more open-source and free repository places out there like Drooble. People need a place to expose their art.

What do you think of Drooble?

I absolutely love it, and I'm glad a musician buddy of mine turned me on to it. This is an amazing place to share art with other artists and get exposure. The more ears we hit, the more ears will listen to us, and hopefully dig what we're doing.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Keeping my energy level and focus to keep making music. Working a full-time job and doing this as a hobby/passion makes it hard to keep it up, and lapses happen. I wish I could jump in and record daily, but that may never be the case, I'm afraid.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Definitely. If I get a chance to listen to someone's music, I definitely will do so. I'm all about independent artists.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

They need to have skill, first and foremost. There needs to be a willingness to experiment and find your own sound - find what works best for you. Once you get more comfortable, your sound will improve. Also, take the leap of faith by letting all of your friends know you're into making music, you never know what feedback, advice, and connections you may drum up!

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.
