What is music to you? What does it give you?

Weird af guitar person. I love Ween. Write my own music, and it is a slow process. I would love to meet musicians interested in jamming, to join a band, or collaborate on music projects together.

What is your music dream?

My music dream is to be able to meet other artists and musicians to vibe and jam with. I really just love creating and playing music. Performing is a high. Let's get high, you guys.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I'd make it so that people would understand that we are all in this existence together, that we are all all we've got, and that so much of what we think of as important isn't. They are things which keep us separate in mind. This understanding of our oneness and the triviality of so many of our percieved differences...it would be so fucking important to the world improving in so many ways. In every way.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

There are a lot, but the first one that popped in my head was Raffi's "Baby Beluga."

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Ween, The Beatles, First Aid Kit, Amanda palmer, Megan Thee Stallion, Fiona Apple, Janelle Monae, Zoé, Chicano Batman, Ben Howard, Vehemence, Arcturus, Blind Guardian...there is just way too much to list...I love nearly every kind of music.

What inspires you to make music?

Creativity is essential for me to continue existing. If I didn't have music, I would have died. But it isn't fear which inspires me...it's totally passion. Suffering. Love. Joy. Curiosity. Basically any feeling that I can have can inspire me to create in any way. Picking up a guitar and strumming out some chords and melodies is easier than breathing, sometimes.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

To remember the bigger and smaller things about life. The things that go beyond or beneath all of those silly invisible lines on our maps and in our minds. I don't know that I've made anything myself that accomplishes this, but I am telling my stories and sharing my heart in my songs. And when I play other artists' works, I choose songs which move my soul or make people laugh.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Like I said, it makes me feel high. I love being high. I love performing. I get nervous, and sometimes rush, but I love getting to fuck around on stage with a mic and do my thing. I love connecting to the audience. It's the best!

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I haven't bought into any ideas about it, really. I see people creating and doing what they love. It inspires me. I think this is a great time for musicians and artists of all kinds. We find each other. Creative people gravitate towards one another.

What do you think of Drooble?

Haven't poked around yet. No solid opinions formulated.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Being broke all the time. I don't yet have resources to acquire or access to basic-ass gear. It is a goal for me, as is surviving and supporting my family. I will do it all.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I do my best to make it to shows when I can afford to. When I can't, I share events and updates. I love my talented friends and acquaintances. I want to see everyone succeed.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Try something different.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Probably named a few. Mudville Massacre is an up-and-coming band in the Stockton, CA area. Ween is known and obscure simultaneously. You might not know Betty Davis, a funk singer who was rejected by George Clinton of Parliament-Funkadelic for being too crazy. She is fucking crazy!!
